Vincent Brown

Vincent J. Brown, 86, of Muir, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, February 26, 2009. Vincent was born on March 2, 1922 in Westphalia, Michigan the son of Peter and Eleanor (Fandel) Braun. Vincent married Lillian Elvert on April 3, 1964 and she preceded him in death on July 7, 1987. Vincent was a member of St. Peter and Paul Parish in Ionia and V.F.W. Post 3733 in Fowler.

Vincent is survived by a sister, Dolores Snitten of St. Johns; brothers, Bill Braun of Fowler and Bill (Barbara) Braun of Houston, Texas and many nieces and nephews. Along with his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Geraldine Wieber, Marie Conley, Dorothy VanLoon and Catherine Braun; brothers, Norman Brown, Paul Braun, Francis Braun and Clement Braun.

Funeral Mass will be Monday, March 2, 2009 at 10:30 am at Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Fowler, MI. with Rev. Fr. Dennis Howard officiating. The family will receive visitors at the Goerge Chapel of Osgood Funeral Homes in Fowler, Saturday evening 7 to 9 pm with a rosary at 8 pm Saturday evening and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm Sunday with rosaries at 3 pm and a vigil service at 8 pm. Burial will be at a later date at St. Peter and Paul Cemetery in Ionia. Donations can be made to a charity of the donor's choice. In Lieu of thank you cards the family will make a donation to Heartland Hospice. Arrangement by the Osgood Funeral Home.
