Viola Koenigsknecht

Viola A. Koenigsknecht, died January 7, 2010, at the age of 88. Born November 22, 1921 in Fowler, the daughter of Leo and Katherine (Goodman) Luttig. She was a member of Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church and was a farmer and retired cook from Fowler Public Schools. Viola married Julius John Koenigsknecht in 1945 and he preceded her in death in 1965.

Surviving are their children, Richard (Sheryl) Koenigsknecht, Ken (Arleen) Koenigsknecht, Dave (Janice) Koenigsknecht, Karen (Lee) Putnam, Irene (Jeff) Beckstrom, Alvin (Mary Ann) Koenigsknecht, Mark (Deborah) Koenigsknecht, Julius (Sue) Koenigsknecht, 15 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, siblings, Liz (Roger) Cook, Andy (Margie) Luttig, Urban (Shirley) Luttig, Catherine (Bill) Heckman, Irene (Peter) Weber, Helen (Jerry) Stump, Paul (Pat) Luttig, and sister in law, Theresa (Stanley) Fox. Preceding Viola in death were her husband, Julius John, granddaughter, Elizabeth "Liz" Koenigsknecht in 2000, her parents, brother, Ernest, brother and sister in law, Raymond (Willa) Luttig, brother and sister in law, Norman (Rosaline) Luttig and brother in law, Richard Becher.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m., Monday, January 11, 2010, at Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Fowler with Fr. Dennis Howard presiding. Burial to follow at Most Holy Trinity Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday, 7-9 p.m., and Sunday, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., with a rosary prayed Saturday at 8 p.m., and Sunday at 3 p.m., and a prayer vigil Sunday at 8 p.m. at the George Chapel of Osgood Funeral Homes of Fowler.

Contributions may be made in Viola's memory to the charity of the family's choice.
