Viola Edna Zuckschwerdt, age 87, of Owosso, MI passed away Monday, March 9, 2009 at Memorial Healthcare, Owosso, MI.

Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes Jennings-Lyons Chapel Owosso, MI. on Friday March 13, 2009 at 11:00 AM, Rev. Joel Thomford will officiate. Burial will follow at Wildwood Cemetery Chesaning, MI. Visitation will be held on Wednesday March 11, 2009 from 6-8 PM & Thursday March 12, 2009 from 2-8 PM with family present 2-4 & 6-8 PM.

Viola was born in Brady Township, Michigan on March 22, 1921, the daughter of Edward and Anna (Schmiege) Bleisner. Viola married John Zuckschwerdt in Brady Township on December 2, 1944. John died November 3, 1987. Viola resided most of her life in Brady Township, the Elsie area and Owosso. She was a member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church Chesaning, MI. Viola worked for Redmond's Manufacturing for 6 years and retired in 1986 from Ovid-Elsie Area Schools after 17 years working in the cafeteria.

She is survived by her daughter Annette & Leon Watson of Owosso, MI, 2 sons; Duane and Constance Zuckschwerdt of Corunna, MI & William and Ellen Zuckschwerdt of Lansing, MI, 5 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, nephew James Blisner of Chesaning, MI, and her best friend for many years, Ruby Dunham. Viola was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother Fred (Barbara) Blisner and her sister, Lucille (Bud) Brockman.
