Violet L. Levey-Papenfuss, age 66 of Culver City, California formerly of Elsie, Michigan died September 12, 2012 in Santa Monica, California.
A memorial service was held September 29, 2012 at Forest Lawn Mortuary, Glendale, California, where a celebration of her life took place.
Violet was born December 2, 1945 in St. Johns, Michigan, the daughter of Dale and Elisabeth (Acre) Levey. She graduated from Elsie High School and attended college at Central Michigan University graduating with a Bachelor in Elementary Education. She later received her CPA in Los Angeles, California.
Violet worked as a CPA for approximately thirty years, remaining in the Los Angeles area. She was an avid scrap booker, a long time member of the Y's Men, and a member, regional facilitator, and CPA for Over Eater's Anonymous.
She is survived by her son Mark and Jenny Papenfuss; grandchildren Thomas, Callie, and Jacob Papenfuss, of San Diego, California; sister Janice Roossien of Cheifland, Florida, brother Bruce and Dawn (Reeves) Levey of Elsie, Michigan; nieces and nephew Sarah Levey-Desper, Mary (Levey) and Keith McKern; Eric Levey and Stephanie (Lyle); Janus (Roossien) and Rob Cottrell; great nieces and nephews Kayla Miars, Walker Miars, Danica Levey, Traverse, Chase and Emmie Cottrell. Violet was predeceased by her father Dale C. Levey.
