Virgil Lee Edwards, age 73, of Alma, MI died Saturday, February 2, 2013 at his home.
Per his request, cremation has taken place and there will be no services.
Virgil was born in Alma, Michigan on September 21, 1939, the son of George and Hazel (Lobsinger) Edwards. He graduated from Alma Adult Education in 1983 and worked as a welder for various companies. He also drove truck for B & L Industries in Alma. He worked for Michigan Chemical, later known as Velsicol Chemical in St. Louis until it closed. Virgil was a true hunter and fisherman. Besides his love for his family, he was dedicated to his many beagles he had raised over his lifetime.
His greatest joy was when he became the father of twin daughters; Amy Renee and Tony Adams of Alma, MI and Heidi Lynn Edwards of Breckenridge, MI. He is also survived by his grandchildren; Brenden Howard, Brooklyn Howard, Briana Howard, Connor Childs, step grandson Caelob Adams, sister Charlene Marcy of Rapid City, MI, brother Charles Edwards of Farwell, MI, and sister in law Betty Edwards of Alma, MI. He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, and brother Roger Edwards.
