Virginia Cole

Virginia L. Cole, age 86, of Alma, MI passed away Monday, November 10, 2014 at McLaren Central Michigan Hospital, Mt. Pleasant, MI.

Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes, Ithaca, MI on Thursday, November 13, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. Burial will take place at Ithaca Cemetery Ithaca, MI.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 12, 2014 from 2-8 P.M. with family present from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. at the funeral home.

Virginia was born in Ithaca, Michigan on May 28, 1928, the daughter of Glenn and Mable (Huddleston) Koons. Virginia married Roy Laverne Cole on September 18, 1948; he preceded her in death on March 18, 2011. Virginia was born and raised in Ithaca, and resided the rest of her life in Alma. She enjoyed cooking, garage sales, and family gatherings.

She is survived by her 4 sons; Michael and Susan Cole of Alma, MI, Daniel and Lorraine Cole of Elwell, MI, Roy and Sharon Cole of Alma, MI, Tom and Angel Cole of St. Louis, MI, 7 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, sister Patricia Watson of Alma, MI, and brother Richard and Barb Koons of Mt. Pleasant, MI. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Roy, granddaughter Toni Cole, great grandson Brody Dennison, 2 brothers; Glenn and Jerry, and 3 sisters; Maxine, Laura, and Lucille.
