Virginia Fay Dancer, 95, of St. Louis, MI, passed away Wednesday, September 30, 2020, at Arbor Grove Assisted Living, Alma with her family by her side.
A Graveside Service will be held at Emerson Township Cemetery located on Bagley Rd. 1/2 mile north of Tyler Rd. on Saturday, October 3, 2020, at 4:00 P.M. with Pastor Dave Perry officiating.
Virginia was born in Emerson Township, MI on December 9, 1924, the daughter of Howard B. and Viola Fay (White) Smith. She graduated from St. Louis Public Schools with the class of 1940.
On July 15, 1942, Virginia married Duane Carl Dancer at her parents' farm in Emerson Township. They were blessed with 65 years of marriage before Duane passed on September 1, 2007.
Virginia loved to bake. She was an expert pie baker and a talented cake decorator. She was a 4-H leader and active in the Beebe United Methodist Church for many years. Most of all Virginia loved her family. She was a loving Mother and Grandmother.
Virginia is survived by her son Brian (Roberta) Dancer of Alma, daughter Colleen Deline of St. Louis, 3 grandchildren: Krista (Ryyan) Kelley, Brad (Jaime) Dancer, and Jeremy (Lacey) Dancer. She is also survived by 9 great-grandchildren: Shela, Danielle, Eric, MacKenzie, Jake, Ellie, Zack, Harper, and Crew; great great granddaughter Naomi, sister Joan Netzley and many nieces and nephews. Virginia was preceded in death by her parents, husband Duane (2007), son-in-law Michael Deline, and 2 brothers: Paul Smith and Dale Smith.
