Virginia DePottey

Virginia Marie DePottey age 88, of Ithaca, MI, passed away Tuesday, May 21, 2019, at Rosewood Adult Foster Care.

Per Virginia's wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no services. She will be buried at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Owosso, MI.

Virginia was born in Pontiac, MI on September 25, 1930, the daughter of Herman and Marie Lucille (Adamski) Bushman. She graduated from Owosso High School.

Virginia married Bill Wood and they were they were blessed with two daughters; Denise and Katherine. She married Gerald C. DePottey on February 15, 1974; he passed away in 1995.

Virginia worked for many doctors and dentists offices as a receptionist. She went on to work at Buick in the lunch room in Flint for 10 years. She retired from Hurley Hospital - Insight Treatment Center. She was a lifetime member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary in Davison, MI and also a member of the Red Hat Society.  Virginia enjoyed golfing, bowling and attending plays at the Gratiot County Players.  She loved animals, shopping, and bus trips with her special friend Wayne Shoen.

She is survived by daughters: Denise Littleton, and Katherine and Brad Harlow, grandchildren: Kelly and Mike Napieralski, Kerry and Carl Morgan, Amy and Tim Marr, Wes and April Harlow, great grandchildren: Aden, Eli, Liam, Cooper, Gibson, Zendy, Hailey and Hannah; and great great granddaughter Sophia Ruth Villalobos. She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, and son in law Doug Hindbaugh.
