Virginia Williams

Virginia I. “Ginny” Williams age 93, of Brecksville, OH, formerly of Ithaca, MI passed away Tuesday, March 12, 2019, at The Oaks of Brecksville in Brecksville, OH.

A Memorial Service will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes, Ithaca, MI. on Saturday, June 22, 2019 at 11:00 A.M., with Rev. Christina L. Jensen officiating.  Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.

Virginia was born in Alma, MI on February 18, 1926, the daughter of Harry and Rosamond (Parling) Bovee. She was a 1943 graduate of Ithaca High School.

Virginia married Ernest Robert Williams on August 24, 1947.

She is survived by her daughter Deana Kaye Lutz of Brecksville, OH, 2 grandchildren: Tad Peet of Topeka, KS; Marni Licursi of Brecksville, OH;

4 great grandchildren: Lauren, Olivia, & Connor Licursi and Lake Peet, as well as a brother, Roger Bovee of Ithaca, MI, and sister, Doris Kaye Barnes of Apache Junction, AZ.  She was predeceased by her parents, brothers: Harry Bovee of Coleman, MI, Dick Bovee of Ashley, MI, and sister Jeanette Bovee Hardman of Apache Junction, AZ.

Together with her husband, Virginia was the proud owner of Ern’s Meat Market and William’s Bakery.  She enjoyed working in her yard, gardening and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren when they came to visit.

She was a proud, long time member of the First Presbyterian Church. Virginia truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures; volunteering at church, playing dominoes, playing golf, and attending many of her nieces and nephews sporting events.

Virginia will be fondly remembered and deeply missed by her family, friends and all who knew her.
