Virginia Lindauer

Virginia Mae Lindauer age 90, of Owosso, MI formerly of Elsie, MI, passed away Wednesday, May 16, 2018, at Oliver Woods Retirement Village, Owosso, MI with her family at her side.

Funeral Services will be held at Salem Lutheran Church 330 N. Washington St., Owosso, MI, on Monday, May 21, 2018 at 11:00 A.M., with Pastor James Bare officiating.  Internment will be at Riverside Cemetery, Elsie, MI.  Visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M. until time of service on Monday at Salem Lutheran Church.

Virginia was born in Bath Township, MI on May 24, 1927 the daughter of Fred and Opal (West) Trumble.  She graduated from Laingsburg High School with the class of 1944.  Virginia resided most of her life in Elsie.

On March 14, 1948, Virginia married Floyd G. Lindauer, at the Laingsburg Congregational Church.  Floyd preceded her in death after 37 years of marriage on April 26, 1985.

Virginia was a farmer's wife, homemaker, wonderful mother and grandmother!  She loved her family and was dearly loved by them.  Virginia's faith in God was an essential strength throughout the seasons of her life.  She was a member of Salem Lutheran Church in Owosso for nearly 70 years. During those years she taught Sunday School and helped prepare the church newsletter.

Virginia is survived by her daughter Carolyn Putzig and husband Greg of Blanchard, granddaughter Marty Kailbourne and husband Ron of Elsie, granddaughter Renata Putzig and husband Ben Holtz of Laporte, IN, great granddaughter Ashley Kailbourne, and brother Dale Trumble and wife Janet.  She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.  Virginia was preceded in death by her parents, husband Floyd, son Bruce Lindauer, daughter-in-law Cathy Lindauer, grandson Steven Lindauer, granddaughter Jessica Lindauer, brother Carl Trumble, and a twin sister who died at birth.
