Virginia B. Renberg, age 89, of Owosso, MI passed away Sunday, August 28, 2011 at Memorial Healthcare, Owosso, MI.
Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes Jennings-Lyons Chapel Owosso, MI on Thursday, September 1, 2011 at 1:00 P.M. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Owosso, MI. Visitation will be held on Wednesday August 31, 2011 from 4-8 P.M. at the Funeral Home.
Virginia was born in Deford, Michigan on December 28, 1921, the daughter of Howard John and Beatrice (Hack) Parks. She was a Cass City High School graduate. She resided most of her life in Garden City, MI moving to Shiawassee County in 1974. Virginia married Jack Renberg on October 5, 1942 in Lapeer, MI. Jack passed away on February 14, 1997.
Virginia enjoyed watching television, especially Quizz Busters, seeing "her local area children" win, The Food Channel and Animal Planet. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren brought her great joy. Over the years she loved reading, doing crossword puzzles, playing the nickel slots and traveling to Arizona for the winter.
She is survived by her daughter Sharon and Henry Popler of Morrice, MI, daughter Karen Hulbert of Owosso, MI, son Danny and Cathi Renberg of Houghton Lake, MI, daughter Debby and Jeff Harth of San Jose, CA, 10 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, and sister Lois Muxlow of Lapeer, MI. Virginia was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter Dawn Westerholm, 3 brothers; Douglas, Howard & Art Parks and 2 sisters; Isabelle Pringle and Gerry Cole.
