Virginia Ann Ross age 81 of St. Louis, Michigan died Friday, December 24, 2004 at Schnepps Healthcare Center, St. Louis, Michigan.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday, December 27, 2004 at 11:00 A.M. at Smith Family Funeral Homes, St. Louis Chapel. Pastor Larry Warsinski will officiate with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, St. Louis, Michigan. Visitation will be held Sunday, December 26, 2004 4-8 P.M. at Smith Family Funeral Homes, St. Louis Chapel.
Virginia was born in Alma, Michigan on January 28, 1923 the daughter of William & Blanche ( Beverly ) Ward. She resided most of her life in St. Louis, Michigan. She also lived in Florida for 18 years before moving back to St. Louis. She graduated from Alma High School, Alma, Michigan. Virginia married Carl Ross on May 12, 1940 in St. Louis, Michigan. He passed away in 1979. She was a homemaker and did a wonderful job raising her children. She and Carl enjoyed traveling the country. She crocheted and was a great cook.
She volunteered her time teaching Vacation Bible School. Virginia was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Wheeler, MI. She volunteered at Bayonet Point Hospital in Hudson, Florida and for the American Heart Association. She was also a member of the Moose and Elk Clubs in Port Richey, FL.
Virginia is survived by her 4 children; Bill & Helen Ross of Ft. Wayne, IN, Jim & Sharon Ross of Flint, MI, Jack & Beverly Ross of St. Louis, MI, Sharon & Mike McGee of New Port Richey, FL, 12 Grandchildren, 16 Great Grandchildren, 2 Great Great Grandchildren, 3 Nephews, and 3 Nieces. She is predeceased by her parents, her husband, 2 brothers, 1 sister, 1 great grandson, and special friend John Offak.
