Virginia Williams

Virginia Lee Williams age 80, of St. Louis, MI, passed away Friday, January 27, 2017 at Schnepp Health Care Center, St. Louis, MI.

Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes St. Louis, MI, on Tuesday, January 31, 2017 at 11:00 A.M., with Pastor Mona Kindel officiating. Burial will take place at Oak Grove Cemetery, St. Louis, MI.  Visitation will be held on Monday, January 30, 2017 from 2-8 P.M. with family present from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. at the funeral home.

Virginia was born in Pleasant Valley, Michigan on April 26, 1936 the daughter of Clarence and Marjorie (Morrow) Bobzien.  Virginia resided all of her life in St. Louis and was a graduate of St. Louis High School.  Virginia married Clare Williams on August 8, 1954 in St. Louis, MI.

Virginia retired from St. Louis Public Schools as a secretary.  She enjoyed knitting, camping, and playing cards.  Virginia loved to stay at the cottage on Higgins Lake and enjoyed fishing there.  Spending time with her family was most important to her.  Virginia also enjoyed making wedding cakes.

She is survived by her husband Clare Williams of St. Louis, MI; son Chris and Christine Williams of Shepherd, MI; daughter Cheryl and Greg Joslin of Shepherd, MI; daughter Sheila Williams of Alma, MI; son Eric and Dawn Williams of Ithaca, MI; son Daryl and Melisa Williams of St. Louis, MI; 13 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and brother Robert Bobzien of St. Louis, MI.  Virginia was preceded in death by her parents, 3 sisters in law; Dorothy Moyer, Marjorie McLean and Helen Bobzien, and brother in law Jack McLean.
