Vivian Thrush

Vivian Donna Thrush, age 85, of Vestaburg, MI, peacefully passed from this earth into the arms of her Savior with her family by her side Friday, January 17, 2020, at Woodland Hospice House, Mt. Pleasant, MI.

Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes Ithaca, MI on Wednesday, January 22, 2020, at 11:00 A.M., with Pastor Carl Cecil officiating.  Burial will take place at Ferris Center Cemetery, Vestaburg, MI. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 21, 2020 from 2-8 P.M. with family present from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. at the funeral home.

Vivian was born in Alma, MI on February 22, 1934, the daughter of Roy L. and Anna Mae (VanHorn) Perry. On February 17, 1951, Vivian married Lyle Edwin Thrush at her parent’s home in Alma, MI. They were blessed with 69 years of marriage.

Vivian loved music, especially when her husband was playing. She and Lyle participated in jamborees all over the area. Vivian enjoyed traveling in the U.P. She liked clowns. Vivian was very talented; made many crafts and dresses for her girls. She especially loved her family and treasured the babies.

Vivian is survived by her husband Lyle Thrush of Vestaburg, MI; 7 children: Ned Thrush of Edmore, MI; Cindy (Mikea Jones) Thrush of Kempner, TX; Lori (Greg) Kelley of Tellico Plains, TN; Marty (Tami) Thrush of Petosky, MI; Kim (Kris) Thrush of Vestaburg, MI; Eric Thrush of Alma, MI, and Lisa (Bob) Persall of Carson City, MI. She is also survived by 20 grandchildren: Amy Thrush, Corrine (Bodie) Miller, Aaron Thrush, Chase Pendergrass, Olivia (Trey) Reno, Shane Kelley, Nicole Austin, Justin Thrush, Kayla (fiancé Clayton Lance) Thrush, Tyler Wing, Jordan Wing, Zack Thrush, Anna Thrush, Kyle Thrush, Kameron Thrush, Kiara Thrush, Nathan (Andrea) Gurski, Nick (Molly) Gurski, Tyler Persall, and Trinity (Brandon) Pick; many great grandchildren, and brother Ron (Judy) Perry. Vivian was preceded in death by her parents, daughter-in-law Dawn Thrush, siblings: Lee (Lucille) Perry, Lyle Perry, Violet (Cyril) Hyde, Doris (Gene) Todd, and Dorothy (Ira) Austin.
