Wanda Lou McCullough, age 69, of Owosso, Michigan died Thursday, April 29, 2010 at University of Michigan Hospital in Ann Arbor, MI.
Funeral Services will be held at First Church of the Nazarene in Owosso, MI on Monday, May 3, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. Pastor Rodger DeVore will officiate. Burial will take place at Ford Cemetery in Gratiot County, MI. Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 2, 2010 from 2-8 P.M. with family present from 2-4 & 6-8 PM. at Smith Family Funeral Homes, Elsie Chapel.
Wanda was born in Lansing, Michigan on June 9, 1940, the daughter of Leo E. and Beulah (Clark) Onstott. She graduated from Elsie High School with the class of 1958. She then graduated from Central Michigan University in 1962 with a Bachelors Degree in Education. Wanda married Gene McCullough on July 7, 1962 at the Elsie United Methodist Church. She had been a resident of Owosso for the past 45 years. She had taught school at Ovid Schools, Germany, and Owosso Public Schools. She then decided to be a stay at home mom to raise her family, which was what she treasured most. Wanda and Gene loved traveling and camping. She also enjoyed gardening, garage sales, and was an avid animal lover. She was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Owosso.
She is survived by her husband Gene McCullough of Owosso, MI, son Mark and Missy McCullough of Battle Creek, MI, daughter Melinda McCullough of Lansing, MI, 2 grandchildren; Jacob McCullough of Battle Creek, MI, Macy McCullough of Battle Creek, MI, 2 sisters; Vickie Eckmyre of Owosso, MI, Paula and Steve Draper of Naples, FL, in laws; Dixie and Beryl Clark of Owosso, MI, Becky Chatham of Virginia Beach, VA, and Lonnie and Janice McCullough of Elsie, MI. She was preceded in death by her parents and parents in law.
