Warren Dale Collison age 84 of St. Louis, died Sunday, December 17, 2006 at St. Marya�(TM)s of Michigan in Saginaw, Michigan.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 20, 2006 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Louis, Church of Christ in St. Louis, Michigan with Pastor Keith Wise officiating. Visitation will be held Monday, December 18, 2006 from 6-8 P.M. and Tuesday, December 19, 2006 from 2-8 P.M. with family present 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. at the funeral home.
Warren was born June 8, 1922 in Wheeler, Michigan the son of Benjamin & Florence (Allen) Collison. Warren resided in the St. Louis area and graduated from Breckenridge High School with the class of 1940. Warren married Evah Montgomery on October 11, 1941 in Stanton, Michigan. She died in 1996. He then married Mickie Richter on September 9, 2000 in St. Louis, Michigan. He retired from Chemical Bank, formerly Commercial Savings Bank after 38 years retiring in 1983. Warren was a member of St. Louis Church of Christ where he served as elder and chairman of the missions group. He was a member of St. Louis American Legion; Lions Club; Staff Sergeant of the 3rd infantry division in the Army during WWII, Greater Gratiot Development Corp, past school board member, SLEDCO, Gratiot Area Chamber of Commerce, American Cancer Society, Michigan Bankers Association. He was an avid golfer, proudly achieving two holes in one in his lifetime. He was a past little league coach; he loved deer hunting, sports, and watching his grandchildren sporting activities. He also loved to vegetable & flower garden and he also loved to travel.
He is survived by his wife Mickie Collison of St. Louis, Michigan, 4 children Jerry & Lynda Collison of Lake Odessa, Michigan, Dennis & Pat Collison of Imlay City, Michigan, Roger & Dee Collison of St. Louis, Michigan, Carol & Ron Salladay of St. Louis, Michigan. 4 step-children Debbie & Earl Dickman of West Virginia, Scott & Janet Richter of Mecosta, Michigan, Ed & Nan Richter of Mecosta, Michigan, Tom & Theresa Richter of Ithaca, Michigan. Warren is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 7 step-grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, and six step-great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents, first wife Evah, and two brothers. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Louis Church of Christ or St. Louis Sports Boosters.
The family is being served by Smith Family Funeral Homes, St. Louis Chapel.
