Wayne Knapp

Wayne C. Knapp, age 72, of Alma, MI died Monday, September 30, 2013 at Masonic Pathways, Alma, MI.

Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes, St. Louis, MI on Wednesday, October 2, 2013 at 11:00 A.M., with Pastor George Ayoub officiating. Burial will take place at Riverside Cemetery, Alma, MI. Visitation will be held prior to the service on Wednesday from 10:00 - 11:00 A.M.

Wayne was born in Alma, MI on January 27, 1941, the son of Cecil H. and Audrey K. (Shaver) Knapp. He served his country in the U.S. Army. Wayne was a retired computer programmer with Consumers Energy. He formerly owned and operated Salmon Troller One and Two as a charter boat captain.

Wayne is survived by his sister Martha and Lowell Anderson of St. Louis, MI, and brother Jon and Lorra Knapp of Bear Lake, MI, nieces and nephews; Amy and John Vandervane of Midland, MI, Steven Anderson of St. Louis, MI, Eric Anderson of Litchfield Park, AZ, Jennifer and Doug Young of St. Louis, MI and 5 great nieces and nephews. Wayne was preceded in death by his parents.
