Wayne Novak

Wayne Martin Novak age 61 of Owosso, MI passed away Wednesday, October 8, 2008 at Avalon Hospice House, Flint, MI.
A Memorial Service will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes Jennings-Lyons Chapel Owosso, MI on Monday, October 13, 2008 at 11:00 AM, Pastor Donna Stewart will officiate. Visiting with his family will be held Monday one hour prior to the service at Smith Family Funeral Homes, Jennings-Lyons Chapel.
Wayne was born in Chicago, Illinois on November 29, 1946, the son of Joseph and Anna (Bembeck) Novak. Wayne married Darlene (Underwood) Brandt on April 13, 1996 in Las Vegas, NV. She passed away on December 23, 2006. Wayne has lived in Owosso since 1996 coming from Mt. Morris. He served in the US Army during Vietnam from 1966-1967, he was discharged as a Seargant. He retired from General Motors, working as a Millwright at the Buick City Plant in Flint. Wayne was a member of UAW Local 599 and the Davison VFW. He had a passion for cars and enjoyed many trips to Las Vegas.
He is survived by 2 daughters; Amy & Bill Boulware of Livonia, Lauren & Jim Connelly of Guam, 2 sons; Brandon Novak of Mt. Morris, Joseph Novak of Mt. Morris, 2 step-sons; Robert Brandt & Tess Goettl of Owosso, Randy & Linda Brandt of Bancroft, a step-daughter; Renee Gosulak of Battle Creek, 2 grandchildren; Robert Connelly and Cearra Connelly both of Guam also 8 step-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents, wife and brother, Ronald Novak
