Wells Nethaway

Wells Nethaway died March 4, 2009 at the age of 87. Born July 9, 1921 in Chapin Twp., the son of Roy and Lula (Perry) Nethaway. He married Estherbelle Selfridge on December 20, 1939 in Corunna and she preceded him in death on January 7, 2007. Wells was a Veteran having served in the US Air Force during WWII, he was also a member of the VFW Post #8964.

Surviving are his son, Ronald (Suzanne) Nethaway and daughter, Carolyn Baker, five grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, five great-great grandchildren, two sisters and several nieces and nephews. Also preceding him in death are his parents, son, Larry Nethaway, two grandchildren, two sisters and two brothers.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Monday, March 9, 2009 at the Houghton Chapel of Osgood Funeral Homes, 232 E. Oak St., Ovid, MI with Pastor Kathy Murphy officiating, burial at Fairfield Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home, Sunday, 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Memorials may be made to a charity of donor's choice in his memory.
