Wendell R. Delo, age 71, of Ithaca, MI passed away Thursday, August 2, 2012 at Sparrow Hospital, Lansing, MI.
Private Burial will be held at Chapel Garden Cemetery, Seville, MI. Visitation will be held on Monday August 6, 2012 from 1:00-8:00 P.M. at Smith Family Funeral Homes Ithaca Chapel, Ithaca, MI.
Wendell was born in Clinton County, Michigan on February 14, 1941, the son of Ray and Zepha (McQueen) Delo. Wendell married Rose Williams on December 31, 1960 in Breckenridge, MI. He resided most of his life in Ithaca.
He worked for General Motors for 27 years before retiring in 1993. Wendell was a member of the Harrison Moose Lodge #2235. He enjoyed camping, hunting, riding his motorcycle and spending time with his family and his dog, Smokie.
Wendell is survived by his wife of 51 years Rose Delo of Ithaca, MI, his children; Becky and Rob Beagle of Alba, MI, Wendell and Kelly Delo of Breckenridge, MI, Pam Delo & Kevin Bushe of Alma, MI, Mary Jane Delo of Gaylord, MI, 5 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, 2 brothers; Wayne and Amy Delo of Fowler, MI, Mike and Brenda Delo of St. Louis, MI, and 2 sisters; Marlene Jackson of Blanchard, MI, and Marylou Delo. Wendell was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Gale Delo.
