William Csapos

William Vincent “Bill” Csapos, 68, of Owosso, MI, passed away Wednesday, June 26, 2019, at Memorial Healthcare.

Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes - Houghton Chapel, Ovid, MI, on Tuesday, July 2, 2019 at 11:00 A.M., with  Visitation will be held on Monday, July 1, 2019 from 2-8 P.M. with family present from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. at the funeral home.

Bill was born in St. Johns, MI on May 8, 1951, the son of Vincent Paul and Charolette Cora (Somers) Csapos. He graduated from Ovid Elsie High School with the class of 1969; he then attended Rets Electronic School in Flint, MI. On May 10, 1997 he married Sally Curtis in Fairfield Township, MI.

He worked for Universal Electric for many years and then went to work at Viron International, Owosso, MI, until his retirement. He was a Hamm radio operator and his call numbers where KD8DXN. Bill was a professional musician and played drums all of his life with many bands in the area; the last band he was playing with was Helen Ann's Dance Band. Bill enjoyed fishing and he had a private pilot license and loved to fly.

He is survived by his wife Sally Curtis of Owosso, MI; 4 brothers: Daniel and Vicky Csapos, Larry Csapos, Garry Csapos, Vincent and Joann Csapos Jr., his brother in law Leston Curtis, sister in law Sharon and Jim Glass, and many nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by his parents, and sister Barbara.
