William Hunt

William L. Hunt age 81 of Ithaca, Michigan died Thursday, March 27, 2008 at Gratiot Medical Center, Alma, MI.

Funeral Services will be held at Ithaca Church of God Ithaca, MI on Monday, March 31, 2008 at 11:00 AM. Rev. James R. Conn will officiate with burial at Waterloo Cemetery Waterloo, Michigan. Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 29, 2008 from 6-8 P.M. and Sunday, March 30, 2008 from 2-8 P.M. with family present from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M.

William was born in Titusville, Florida on March 6, 1927 the son of Laurence P. and Vivian ( Ennis ) Hunt. He resided in Ithaca, Michigan since 1971 and graduated from Grass Lake High School, Taylor University, Indiana, and graduated from MSU in pastorial counsiling. William married Elizabeth Rumfield on December 23, 1957 in Sunfield, Michigan. He pastored in churches in Michigan, at Burr Oak, Cadilac circuit, Freeport, Battle Creek, Moorestown, and Middleton U.B. Church. He became a marriage and family therapist in 1977 and put on seminars in Counseling.He traveled as an evangelist with chalk drawings. William went to the Holy Land in 1969 and he loved to garden. William was a member of Ithaca Church of God, Ithaca, MI.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years Elizabeth Hunt of Ithaca, MI, niece Elaine Cole of Ypsilanti, MI, and nephew Evan Dowling of California. He is predeceased by his parents, and sister Lorna Dowling.

Memorials may be made to Ithaca Church of God. The family is being served by Smith Family Funeral Homes, Ithaca Chapel.
