William McGinnis

William F. McGinnis age 81 of Mt. Pleasant, MI died Saturday, September 13, 2008 at his home.

Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes Elsie Chapel Elsie, MI on Thursday, September 18, 2008 at 11:00 A.M. Burial will take place at Ford Cemetery Gratiot County, MI. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 17, 2008 from 6-8 P.M. at Smith Family Funeral Homes Elsie Chapel Elsie, MI.

William was born in Indianapolis, Indiana on April 7, 1927, the son of Ferris and Mable (Malhone) McGinnis. He attended school in Ohio. William married Helen Burtovoy in Cleveland, OH in 1954. He resided most of his life in Ohio. William served his country in the US Army. He retired from truck driving in 1989. William was a member of the VFW in Ohio.

He is survived by his daughter Trudy Barker of Mt. Pleasant, MI, son William McGinnis and partner Tim Haney of Louisville, KY, grandson Earl Barker of Santa Anna, CA, 3 granddaughters; Kayla Weadon of Mt.Pleasant, MI, Jenn Weadon of Mt. Pleasant, MI, Kendra Weadon of Mt.Pleasant, MI, and great grandson Cruz of Mt.Pleasant, MI. He was predeceased by his parents, wife, 1 brother and 3 sisters.
