William Pearson

William Alan “Bill” Pearson age 59, of St. Johns, MI, passed away Friday, January 4, 2019, at Mother Teresa House, Lansing, MI.

A Memorial Service will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes - Osgood Chapel, St. Johns, MI, on Sunday, January 6, 2019 at 2:00 P.M., with Rev. Charles Krueger officiating.  Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.

Bill was born in Lansing, MI on July 29, 1959, the son of William and Ruth (Platte) Pearson.  Bill graduated from DeWitt High School with the class of 1977.  He then earned an associates degree in Electrical Engineering from Ferris State University.  He worked as a machinist until his retirement in 2012.

Bill married Colleen Pearson on April 8, 2003 at The Chapel at the Park in Gatlinburg, TN. Bill was an avid fisherman and small game hunter.  He loved back woods camping.  He enjoyed spending time with friends and family.

Bill is survived by his wife Colleen of St. Johns, 3 children: Ashleigh (Wayne) Meadows of North Carolina, Roger Tutton II of Virginia, and Matthew Pearson of St. Johns; and 2 granddaughters: Ravenlily and Adie.  He is also survived by siblings: Debbie (Dave) Barratt, Tom (Liz) Pearson, Linda (Garry) Sullivan, Chris (fiancé Ron Becher) Stehlik, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.  Bill was preceded in death by his parents, and brother-in-law Alan Stehlik.
