William Pilmore Sr

William Albert Pilmore, Sr. of Alma, Michigan passed away on Tuesday, June 13, 2006 at the age of 68 after a valiant battle with lung cancer. William was a beloved father, grandfather, brother, uncle, husband and friend. He was a jack of all trades. He could design anything, build anything and fix anything. He especially enjoyed working on his antique John Deere tractor.
In addition to being a family man, William was also a proud Veteran of the Korean War and was active in the St. Louis VFW Post #3055. He leaves behind a wife of 46 years, Lena Pilmore of Alma, MI, one son William & Sheila Pilmore, Jr. of Alma, MI, 2 daughters; Trina & Dale Palmer of St. Louis, MI, Sherri Pilmore of St. Louis, MI and special family members Steve & Shada Goodell. William also leaves behind 7 grandchildren he truly adored; Alicia and Connor Pilmore, Heather, Brian, and Darren Palmer, as well as Evan and Tara Goodell. Also surviving are his sisters; Donna & Robert Most of St. Louis, MI, Rosalind Kanaski of Alma, MI, Edith Chesebro of Indiana, Kathy Cudziol of Indiana, and Ona Nelson also of Indiana. William is predeceased by his parents, brothers, and many aunts and uncles.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, June 16, 2006 at 1:00 P.M. at the St. Louis United Methodist Church, St. Louis, MI. Pastor Lillian French will officiate with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, St. Louis, MI. Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 15, 2006 from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. at Smith Family Funeral Homes, St. Louis Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Louis VFW Post #3055.
