William Frederick "Bubs" Ricklefs, Jr., avid biker, Army Veteran, and Stubborn American, age 64, of Vassar, MI, passed away Saturday, September 30, 2023.
A Graveside Service will be held at Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly, MI at 1:30 P.M. on Monday, October 16, 2023. Those who wish to ride with Bubs one last time are encouraged to meet at Smith Family Funeral Homes, 1333 East Center Street, Ithaca, MI 48847 at 11:00 A.M. that day. Friends and family are encouraged to gather for a celebratory meal from 2-6 P.M. with dinner being served at 3:00 P.M. at the American Legion Post #63, 8047 Ortonville Road, Clarkston, MI 48348
Bubs was born in Saginaw, Michigan on July 29, 1959, the son of William Frederick Ricklefs Sr. and Barbara Lorraine Ricklefs.
He is survived by his children: Will Ricklefs, Kenneth Hyde, and Kayla Ricklefs; grandson Reed Ricklefs; brothers: Rick Ricklefs, and Kevin Ricklefs, Sr.; sisters: Barbara Sue Coleman, Iva Henschel, Gretchen Oppermann; and "bestie" Laurie Kratz. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers: Lawrence Ricklefs, Robert Miller, Jr., and Alan Miller I, sisters: Rose Averitte, Dawn Ricklefs, and Denise Santoro.
