William Ross

William H. Ross, age 70, of Fort Wayne, Indiana, formerly of Breckenridge died Thursday, October 27, 2011 at Parkview Hospital, in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes, St. Louis Chapel on Wednesday, November 2, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor Lee Rhodes officiating. Burial will take place at the Ridgelawn Cemetery, Breckenridge, Michigan. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 1, 2011 from 4-8 P.M. at the funeral home.

Bill was born in Alma, Michigan on May 17, 1941, the son of Carl H. and Virginia (Ward) Ross. He graduated from Shepherd High School with the class of 1960. On May 19, 1962 Bill and Helen M. Gammey were married in St. Louis, Michigan. Bill resided most of his life in Breckenridge, Michigan, moving to Indiana in 2000. Bill retired from General Motors, the Gray Iron Foundry in Saginaw, Michigan. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed story telling. Bill was a devoted husband and father and enjoyed spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife Helen Ross of Fort Wayne, IN, daughter Carol and Mustafa Kose of Ankara, Turkey, 2 sons; William C. Ross and Sandy Neukam of Fort Wayne, IN, David and Amy Ross of Fort Wayne, IN, 5 grandchildren; Kayla, Idris, Jared, Reis, and Semih, sister Sharon and Michael McGee of Florida, brother Jack and Beverly Ross of St. Louis, MI, and sister in law Sharon Ross of Flint, MI. He was predeceased by his parents, and brother James Ross Sr.
