William Somers

William Franklin Somers age 68 of Elsie, Michigan, passed away Saturday, December 16, 2017, at his home.

Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes Elsie, Michigan at 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday, December 19, 2017, with Pastor Herb Wheelock officiating. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 19, 2017 11:00 A.M. to the time of the service at 2:00 P.M. at Smith Family Funeral Homes Elsie, Michigan.

William was born in St. Johns, Michigan on November 28, 1949, the son James and Vivian (Smith) Somers. On August 28, 2009 he married Sharon (Squiers) Beard in Chapin, Michigan. Bill was a farmer most of his life and worked a few years at Toledo Com. in Owosso, Michigan. He enjoyed fishing and hunting.

He is survived by  his wife: Sharon Somers of Elsie, MI; 3 sisters: Joyce  Felton, of Ashley, MI; Jane and Barney Unterbrink, of Elsie, MI; Laurie and Greg Ringle, of Elsie, MI; his brother: Doug Somers and Gayla Williamson of Elsie, MI; many nieces and nephews also survive him.  He is also survived by his brother in law: Larry and Yvonne Squiers of Ovid, Michigan. He was predeceased by his parents, his son Jimmy Somers.
