Bill "Oz" Terwilliger age 53 of Sumner, Michigan died Friday, October 10, 2003 at Gratiot Community Hospital, Alma, Michigan. He was a rural Postal Carried in Alma for 16 years, he enjoyed golfing, bowling, hunting & traveling. He loved riding his Harley, and enjoyed working on the computer and canoeing. He was a member of HOGS, golfed on Monday night mena�(TM)s league at North Star Golf Course; he also loved to play his guitar.
Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, October 14, 2003 at 11:00 A.M. at Smith Family Funeral Homes, Ithaca, Michigan. Pastor Rob Ryersee will officiate with burial at Riverside Cemetery in Alma, Michigan. Visitation will be Sunday from 2-8 P.m. and Monday 2-8 with family present from 2-4 & 6-8 P.m.
Bill was born on March 11, 1950 in Alma, Michigan the son of William Leonard & Vivian Arlene (VanAtten) Terwilliger. He graduated from Alma High School with the class of 1968. On September 18, 1970 he married Carol Bliss at Stanton Baptist Church in Stanton, Michigan. Bill served in the U.S. Air Force between 1970 & 1974, and then he served in the National Guard an additional 16 years. He had resided most of his life in the Alma and Sumner areas.
Survivors include his wife, Carol Terwilliger of Sumner, Michigan; his parents; William & Vivian Terwilliger of Alma, Michigan, two sons; Will & Lisa Terwilliger of Alma, Michigan, Jeff & Holly Terwilliger of Pittsburg, PA, three grandchildren; Paisley, William, and Alexis, three brothers; Terry & Sherry Terwilliger of Elwell, Michigan, Gary Terwilliger of Riverdale, Michigan, Michael & Denise Terwilliger of Mt. Pleasant, Michigan, one sister; Cheri & Dennis Fowler of St. Louis, Michigan. He is also survived by many nieces & nephews.
He was predeceased by his son Todd in 1977.
