William Frank "Will" Zemla Jr, age 81, left this world peacefully on May 11, 2022, at Olive Branch Senior Assisted Living in Perry, MI.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Paul's Catholic Church, Owosso, MI, on Tuesday, May 17, 2022, at 10:30 A.M. Burial will be held at St. Paul Catholic Cemetery, Owosso, MI. Visitation will be held on Monday, May 16, 2022, from 2-8 P.M. with the family present from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. at Smith Family Funeral Homes, Elsie, MI., with a Rosary Service at 7:30 P.M.
He was born on December 5, 1940 to William Frank Sr. and Sophia A. Zemla. He was one of eight children that were raised on his family's farm in Elsie. He spent most of his life working on that farm and raising his own family there as well. He worked at Michigan Milk Producers in Ovid for 42 years. He enjoyed woodworking, trips to the casino, and hunting. Most of all, he loved his grandchildren and spending time with them.
Will is survived by his two sons: Jeffery (Betty) Zemla and Mark (Kelly) Zemla; five grandchildren: Taylor (Eric) Lowe, Tristan Maurer, William Zemla, Samuel Zemla, and Madison Zemla; and his very dear friends: John and Michelle Bates. He is also survived by Mary Ellen Zemla, and two step-sons: Ron (Ammy) Stinson and Gavin (Stacey) Stinson.
