Willis Carlton Clark, age 96, of Ithaca MI passed away Sunday, March 6, 2016 at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital, Ypsilanti, MI.
Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes Ithaca, MI on Friday, March 11, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. David McBride officiating. Visitation will be held on Thursday March 10, 2016 from 2-8 P.M. with family present from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. at the funeral home.
Willis was born in Ithaca, Michigan on March 23, 1919, the son of Martin C. and Altha F. (Spear) Clark. Willis married Julia McNett on April 28, 1951 in Owosso, MI. She passed away on September 26, 1997. Willis resided most of his life in rural Ithaca.
Willis was a commercial printer and also a farmer for many years. He served his country in the U.S. Army during WW II where he earned a Purple Heart and a Bronze Star Medal. Willis enjoyed camping and hunting. He was a lifetime member of United Methodist Church Ithaca, MI
Willis is survived by his son Richard Clark and Tammy Pieske of Ypsilanti, MI and his daughter Lori and David Leonard of Orange Park, FL. Willis was preceded in death by his parents, his wife and his sister Arlene Hardman.
