Wilma Jean "Toot" Angell age 72 of Ovid, MI, passed away Saturday, December 9, 2017 at her home.

Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes - Houghton Chapel, Ovid, MI, on Tuesday, December 12, 2017 at 2:00 P.M., with Pastor Steven Brown officiating.  Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 10-2 P.M. prior to the service at the funeral home.

Wilma was born in Ovid, MI on June 29, 1945, the daughter of Ivan David and Dorothy (Case) Hicks.  She was a 1983 graduate of Ovid-Elsie High School.  Wilma married William Angell on May 28, 1980 in Owosso, MI and resided most of her life in Ovid.

Wilma was a professional homemaker and tourist, and enjoyed going on the road with Big Bill.  She loved bowling, playing cards and visiting the casino.  But most of all she loved spending time with her family.  Wilma was the queen of decorating, but especially for Christmas.

She is survived by her husband William Angell of Ovid, MI; son David and Lori Peterson of Charlestown, IN; son Donald and Martha Peterson of Elsie, MI; daughter Dawn Peterson of Owosso, MI; son Paul Peterson of Owosso, MI; son Billy and Cathy Peterson of St. Johns, MI; son Jeffery and Sabrina Longoria of Ovid, MI; daughter Jennifer and Michael DeMond of Owosso, MI; son William and Courtney Angell of Springboro, OH; son John and Clara Angell of Ovid, MI; 13 grandchildren: Michael & Misty, Stephanie, Holly & Gage, Emily, Jordan, Michael, Hunter, Noah, Kiah, Jonathon, Max, MaKayla and Owen; 4 great-grandchildren: Korbin, Ashara, Jeremiah and Alexis; brother Elwin Hicks of Laingsburg, MI; and her granddog DOG.  Wilma was preceded in death by her parents and 2 brothers: Albert & Richard Hicks and nephew Richie Hicks.
