Wilma Shannon

Wilma G. Shannon age 90 of Elsie, Michigan died Wednesday, September 5, 2007 at at her home.

Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes, Elsie Chapel Elsie, MI on Friday, September 7, 2007 at 2:00 PM. Pastor Eric Stanton will officiate with burial at Fairfield Township Cemetery Fairfield Twp., Michigan. Visitation will be held on Friday, September 7, 2007 from 11:00 A.M. until time of service at 2:00 P.M.

Wilma was born in Middlebury Township, Michigan on January 14, 1917 the daughter of Bateson and Florence ( Bliss ) Harris. She resided most of her life in the Elsie area. Wilma married James Aymour Shannon on September 12, 1938 in Fremont, Indiana. He died on April 17, 1992. She was a homemaker. When she was younger she enjoyed dancing. Wilma loved cats and she loved to cook and feed people. Wilma was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.

She is survived by 1 son Aymour B. Shannon of Kingsley, MI, grandson Michael Shannon of Dearborn, MI, granddaughter Michelle Shannon of Elsie, MI, 2 great granddaughters Julia & Stephanie Shannon of Dearborn, MI, and 3 nieces; Lennis Reneaud, Kayla Kreuger, Rolayne Kremer. She is predeceased by her parents, husband, and 1 sister Edna Sloat.

Memorials may be made to Alzheimers Foundation. The family is being served by Smith Family Funeral Homes, Elsie Chapel.
