Wolodymyr “Walt” Pytlowanyj Jr., age 55, passed away December 1, 2009.

Walt was born in Lansing, Michigan on January 30, 1954, the son of Walt and Jennie (Tkaczyk) Pytlowanyj. Walt retired from General Motors and was an avid MSU fan. He also loved to golf and was a member of the Jugs and Mugs Ski Club.

Walt is survived by his parents, sisters and brothers, Pearl (Nykola) Bartkiw, Steve (Deb) Pytlowanyj, Stephanie Pytlowanyj, Nick Pytlowanyj and Maria (Pete) Nahirnyj, 12 nieces and nephews and 7 great nieces and nephews.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11:00 A.M. Saturday, December 5, 2009 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in St. Johns. Burial at Mt. Rest Cemetery also in St. Johns, with Rev. Fr. Eoin Murphy officiating. The family will receive friends 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. Friday at the Osgood Funeral Home in St. Johns, with a prayer vigil at 7 P.M. Memorials may be made to the St. Joseph Catholic School Education Fund or family wishes. His gentle spirit and loving, generous heart will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
