Zelpha "Hope" Rogers, age 93, of Alma, MI died Sunday, January 24, 2010 at Gratiot Medical Center in Alma, MI.

Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes St. Louis Chapel on Thursday, January 28, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. Grandson Pastor Greg O'Boyle and Pastor Kevin Crowell will officiate. Burial will take place at Riverside Cemetery, Alma MI. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 27, 2010 from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at Smith Family Funeral Homes.

Hope was born in Midland County, Michigan on April 28, 1916, the daughter of William A. and Mary M. (Morford) Neigh. Hope married Harold Rogers on October 23, 1935 in St. Louis. He passed away in 1992. Hope resided most of her life in Vestaburg. She had been residing in Alma with her daughter for the past five years. Her favorite hobby was playing dice, doing word search puzzles, bird watching; especially hummingbirds, fishing, going mushrooming, and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her daughter Mary and Wilbur Jenison of Vestaburg, MI, son Gary Rogers of Edmore, MI, son Ronnie and Dian Rogers of Dade City, FL, daughter Linda and Dave Beard of Arizona, daughter Janet and George Nicholson of Sheridan, MI, daughter Mona and Clifford Rausch of Alma, MI, son in law Gerald O'Boyle of Omer, MI, son in law Dale Borton of Zephyrhills, MI, daughter in law Jennielyn Rogers of Owosso, MI, 38 grandchildren, 98 great grandchildren, 10 great great grandchildren, and a sister Mary Grandy of Vestaburg, MI. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 3 daughters; Darlene O'Boyle, Gloria Borton, and Evelyn Rogers, daughter in law Sharon Rogers, 1 son Kenny Rogers, 1 great great grandson Joseph Michael Rogers II, 2 brothers, and 4 sisters.
